See how a CRM problem can be handled

Two examples of the checks behind a small CRM change. Try different records to see why the exceptions matter.

These use made-up records and run a simplified model in your browser. They are not client projects or live HubSpot, Zoho or AI connections.

Example 1 / Lead follow-up

A new enquiry needs an owner and a follow-up

The problem

Enquiries arrive, but someone has to choose the owner, acknowledge the message and remember to follow up.

The change

Use a service-based owner rule, an agreed acknowledgement template and a task due three days later.

What needs checking

Missing contact details, repeated submissions and a service with no matching owner must be handled too.

Follow-up
18 Oct 2026, 10:00 UTC
  • A matching owner and usable email are present.
  • Create one follow-up task, due three calendar days later.
  • Check current lead status before further follow-up.

Names and records are fictional. Nothing is emailed or saved. A real build also needs the right software plan, permissions and email settings.

Example 2 / Data checks

A connected step returns an empty or incorrect value

The problem

An enrichment or AI step is allowed to replace a field, even when it returns nothing or the request fails.

The change

Preserve the existing value when the result is missing or the request fails. Put valid-looking proposals in a review step.

What needs checking

A value can be present and still be wrong. Passing a format check does not establish that a new value is accurate.

Keep the existing CRM value

The proposed value is empty. Do not overwrite information already in the CRM.

This demonstrates a validation rule, not an AI model or a live CRM repair. No record is changed.
